Twinkl are now offering parents and teachers One Month FREE access to Ultimate Membership to This is a great opportunity to do extra work with your child at home over Easter or during any absences.

This will allow parents and teachers unlimited access to every single resource for every single curriculum subject from junior infants to sixth class.

Setting this up is really easy to do - go to and enter the code IRLTWINKLHELPS. 


Accessing this offer on will allow parents the opportunity to access PowerPoints, games, songs, rhymes, stories, worksheets and much more for every area of all subjects on the curriculum from junior infants to sixth class.

Save The Bees

SuperValue launched an initiative "Save The Bees". You/families/friends can collect "Save the Bees" cards in SuperValu when you spend €30! Bring them into school to add to the collection poster, which will be placed at the Green School wall on the ground floor and be in with a chance of winning a share of €50,000 for our school!

Posters will be placed around the school for more information on bees and children are encouraged to create posters, poems, songs etc. to share their knowledge and care for the environment.

We have made a little video about what has been bought with the money that St. Luke's has sent to Malawi. (500 E from last year's water walk & 100 E from the Christmas raffle)

Some of our classes saw the presentation about the Water project last year.

Christmas Raffle 2019

Dear Parents, Guardians and Children,

St Luke’s annual Christmas raffle will take place on Wednesday 18th December 2019. Tickets cost €2 each or three tickets for €5.00.

Tickets can be purchased at the front door between 8.45 - 9am daily and also from room 5 between 1.45 – 2.45pm daily.

There will be an opportunity to buy tickets on Thursday 12th December during the Christmas concerts.

Prizes include toys, food hampers and vouchers for local shops.

A special thank you to Mary Egan and Sharon Geraghty, our two wonderful parents, who have collected lots of toys and gifts for the raffle. We really appreciate everything you have done!

The Lunch Bag service

Dear Parent/Guardian, 
We are very excited to announce that The Lunch Bag service will be coming to our
school. The healthy school lunch delivery service will be available in the school from
Tuesday the 10t h of December.
The Lunch Bag are a nationwide company with kitchens in Longford, Clare, Wexford
and Bray and already produce 40,000 hand crafted lunches fresh every morning. The
company are in the top 6% of Q marked companies in the country, with house-hold brands
which adhere to the schools healthy eating policy. 
The Lunch Bags’ mission is to empower children to care for their future-self through
educated, healthy food choices. The service allows children the opportunity to sample a wide
variety of foods without additional cost or waste to the family. 
As an introduction to the service, this Thursday the 28 th of November all children in
the school will be bringing home a free €10 voucher off the service, along with a sample
lunch and information on how to register for the service. Lunches will then be delivered on
Tuesday the 3rd of December. This voucher gives you the opportunity to try out the service
with no obligation. 
PLEASE REMEMBER TO ORDER BEFORE 12NOON on Monday the 2nd of December  
As the safety of children is of paramount importance, The Lunch Bag service ensures
that any children with allergies will not be exposed to any product containing that allergen.

First Aid Training

We are delighted to let parents know that all of our staff completed First Aid training onsite yesterday October 8th 2019. We learned how to use our defibrillator and how to treat cuts, bruises, grazes and head bumps which can occur on our yard every day.


We wish to thank our staff for giving up their free time to complete this vital training. It will be very useful for the health and safety of all at St. Luke's NS in the future.

Cups for Cancer coffee morning

We are delighted to announce  we are hosting a 'cups for cancer' coffee morning for all parents and friends on Friday the 11th of October here in St.Lukes. The coffee morning will run from 8:50am - 9:30am in the P.E hall. We hope to raise as much as we can for a brilliant cause that affects so many. We also will be running a raffle on the morning with fantastic prizes. kindly sponsored by local businesses. There is no need to RSVP, everyone is welcome - we hope to see you on Friday for a brilliant morning, thank you.

First Holy Communion

Information Night for Parentswill take place in the church Thursday 7/11/2019 at 7-30pm.

All Baptismal Certificates will be given to the class teacher by Friday 29/11/2019.

First Confession will be on Thursday 13/2/2020 at 7-30 pm.

The Ceremonial Mass for First Holy Communion will be held in our church , Saint Luke The Evangelist, on Saturday 16th of May, 2020. There will be 2 separate masses, due to the large amount of children receiving the sacrament , 1030 and 1230.

Ms Burke’s class and Ms Yeates’ class will celebrate receipt of the Sacrament at 1030 mass.

 Ms Quinn’s class and Ms Flanagan’s class will celebrate receipt of the Sacrament at 1230 mass.

Ceremony of Light  Thursday 7/5/2020 in our church at 7-30 pm.

A mass to celebrate the receipt of  Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated in our church, Saint Luke The Evangelist, on Thursday 14/5/2020 at 1100.

Blanchardstown Garda Station Open Day

Dear Sir/ Madam,


We would like to inform you that we are having an Open Day at Blanchardstown Garda Station on the 14th September 2019 from 2pm to 5pm. We will also be having a sensory hour from 1pm to 2pm.


There will be a display of Garda vehicles and Garda units such as Dog unit and Mounted Unit.


There will be tours of the Garda Station, face painting, colouring competition and much more.
