Handwriting

Edco Handwriting

This year St. Luke’s have introduced a new pre cursive and cursive handwriting scheme from Junior Infants to Third Class. The children will learn the precursive style in Junior and Senior Infants and begin cursive (joined) writing from First Class. This new handwriting style will be gradually phased in over the next number of years. The current 4th-6th class will continue with the old programme.

Parent Home Handwriting Resources

The Edco handwriting Programme also provides excellent home / parent resources to help you to support your child with their handwriting practice at home. The resources include letter formation videos, warm-up videos and pre-writing practice. Click here to access the free resources.
