St. Luke’s Parents’ Committee

We are delighted to introduce the newly established St. Luke’s Parents’ Committee, created to strengthen the partnership between home and school. Our goal is to foster a warm, supportive school community where parents, staff and the Board of Management work together to enrich the educational experience of all children.

We warmly invite and encourage all parents and guardians of St. Luke’s N.S. pupils to get involved. Whether you have a little or a lot of time to give, every contribution is valued and appreciated.

How does the Parents’ Committee work?

The committee meets once per term in a relaxed and friendly setting, with meetings lasting about an hour. Over time, we hope to evolve into a Parents’ Association, deepening our role in supporting the school community.

What does the Parents’ Committee do?

  • Support school events such as First Communion and Graduation by organising refreshments and assisting with preparations.
  • Arrange talks and workshops on topics relevant to parents and guardians.
  • Help with fundraising initiatives to support school projects and activities.
  • Organise social events to bring families together and strengthen our school community.

What the Parents’ Committee is not responsible for:

  • It does not have a governance role within the Board of Management.
  • It is not involved in school curriculum decisions.
  • It is not a forum for complaints regarding the school or staff—these should be addressed directly with the teacher or school leadership.

We would love for you to be part of this initiative! For more information or to get involved, please feel free to contact any committee member or email grace_lennon@stlukesns.ie.

Together, we can make a meaningful difference for our children and school community!
